PASS is Going to China
The second Product Authentication & Security Summit will take place in Shanghai, China, February 29 to March 2, 2012 and proposals for papers are invited.
This Summit will focus on building relationships to defeat the common enemy of product counterfeiting and other frauds. PASS China will cover the same topics as the first PASS event in New Jersey, 2010, with a focus on China and its relations with the rest of the world in the field of product authentication and security. PASS is going to China to build mutual trust and find common interest in the war against counterfeits.
To ensure that PASS China attracts the high-level speakers and attendees from government and industry which will make the event a genuine opportunity for progress, Reconnaissance International, organiser of PASS, is partnering with Beijing Zhong Guang Heng Tai Culture Communication Co Ltd (HTC) which organises the annual ID, Smartcard &Ti cket Security & Anti-counterfeiting Technology Summit (CIDS) for the Chinese Ministry of Public Security and the China Anti-Counterfeiting Technology Association (CATA). HTC also has links with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the China Trade
Association for Anti-Counterfeiting (CTAAC).
PASS China will discuss prevention, detection, and control of counterfeiting, illicit diversion, organized cargo theft, warranty fraud, and opportunistic supply chain theft. It will also explore how authentication can aid China and the rest of the world in developing a climate where product security threats are contained, managed, and defeated. The Summit will also allow and encourage participants to explore working relationships between China's authentication industry and authentication suppliers visiting from other parts of the globe.
Reconnaissance and HTC are now inviting proposals for papers at PASS China from industry experts, policy makers, government departments, brand owners, investigators, law enforcement, attorneys, and technology suppliers from China and around the world on how to deploy effective practices and technologies to promote authentication and combat product fraud.
Papers are encouraged on topics that discuss: China and APEC, the role of technology, supply chain security, strategy and standards or other topics relevant to product authentication, particularly in the context of constructive relationships between China and the rest of the world.
Abstracts should be submitted by July 30, 2011, in English to Reconnaissance International (info@Reconnaissance- Intl.com) or in Mandarin to cids@vip.163.com. Submit your proposed paper with a 200-300 word abstract and a short personal resumé.
